Visit the viking village! VISIT THE VIKING VILLAGE! The reconstructed village in Tofta shows how a farm might have appeared during the 9th century. Here you will have the opportunity to play games and sports of the era and to make your own Viking handicraft. Bake bread after a recipe from the Viking age or challenge a “real” Viking in axe throwing. There are a lot of different activities to take part in and the choice is all yours! The Viking village is open every Tuesday to Saturday from June 23rd until August 15th. For groups and special events open on request. Opening hours 11am – 5pm (Entrance closes at 4pm.) Entrance fee: Adult: 95 SEK, Child (5-12 yrs): 55 SEK. Family (2a 2c): 275 sek A Viking Midsummer June 20th! The swedish Midsummer festivities have their origins in the Viking age or even earlier. On June 20th we celebrate Midsummer’s day with singing, dancing and “sacrificing” to the gods to ensure another good year on the farm. Open 1pm - 5pm. The main ceremony will take place at 4pm Entrance fee: Adult: 95 SEK, Child (5-12 yrs): 55 SEK. Viking festival 25-27th June 2009 The summer will begin with a viking festival. Three days of vikings, market, music, food, fire, music and much more. Come and experience the viking age with all senses! The festival is open 11am - 5pm
